Finca Can Xo's Privacy Policy

It's simple, really:  we don't share the information you share with us for commercial gain (other than charging you for your stay with us, of course.)  We don't track you, and make it as hard as we can so others can't track you online ( the only reason we don't use Google Analytics.)

That brings us to our payment processor: Stripe.  They are governed by their own privacy policy and there is not much we can control there.  If you are uncomfortable using Stripe as a payment processor, you have the option to wire-transfer to our IBAN (our bank is BBVA, in Spain).

Our welcome team, will have your name and WhatsApp number if you want us to share it with them to coordinate your arrival and stay.  But email will work fine too.

Our hosting service is Lodgify  (I'm sure they also have their own privacy policy) but we have not even chosen the to enable their Google Analytics integration, mainly to preserve your privacy (as much as we would love to understand traffic patterns on our site, what pages work well and which could bebetter.)

We collect and process personal data about our guests in the EU only when we have a legal basis for doing so under Article 6 of the GDPR.

Personal Data We Collect

We only collect data that helps us achieve the purpose set out in this Privacy Policy. We will not collect any additional data beyond the data listed below without notifying you first.

Data Collected Automatically: none.
Data Collected in a Non-Automatic Way: To process payments we collect what you type into our booking and payment form: the minimum our bank or credit card processor need to collect the rental and security deposit (name, location, credit Card number or bank account info). We only retain your name and contact info to follow up with you regarding your booking (email or phone if provided.)

How we Use Personal Data

Data collected on our Site will only be used for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy or indicated on the relevant pages on our Site. We will not use your data beyond what we disclose in this Privacy Policy.

The data we collect when the user performs certain functions may be used for the following purposes: payment processing, coordinating your arrival, stay and departure.

Who We Share Personal Data With

Employees: we disclose contact information (email, phone number) to members of our hosting team who reasonably need to reach out to you during your stay.

Other Disclosures: we will not sell or share your data with other third parties, except in the following cases:

1. Payment Processor: Stripe.
2. Spanish law requires us to add your contact info and travel document to the Spanish Interior Ministry's traveler registration system
3. If it is required for legal proceedings or to prove or protect our legal rights; and
4. To buyers or potential buyers of this company in the event that we seek to sell the company.

If you follow hyperlinks from our Site to another Site, please note that we are not responsible for and have no control over their privacy policies and practices.

How Long We Store Personal Data

User data will be stored until the purpose the data was collected for has been achieved.  You will be notified if your data is kept for longer than this period.

How We Protect Your Personal Data

While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure that user data is secure and that users are protected, there always remains the risk of harm. The Internet as a whole can be insecure at times and therefore we are unable to guarantee the security of user data beyond what is reasonably practical.

Do Not Track Notice

Do Not Track ("DNT") is a privacy preference that you can set in certain web browsers. We do not track the users of our Site over time and across third party websites and therefore do not respond to browser-initiated DNT signals.
